I am a state student and due to budget issues, I have very little money for rent for the upcoming year.

I paid around 310 last year for a room with water and electricity included, but unfortunately, that is no longer available due to remodeling.

I am hoping to find something close to that range but have had no luck so far,

Besides Cragislist, what are some of the other ways I can search for available rooms in this area?

Are you not having much luck on Craigslist? Bc honestly I think that's your best shot. Check the newspaper, N&O as well as the Independent Weekly.

Isn't there a Wolfpack bulletin board or forum or something dedicated to the NC State Community? That would be a place where folks would advertise a room for rent in addition to Craigslist.

I know when I was in graduate school there you could find different housing options in the housing office on campus, they had a book available to all students where people advertised rooms for students.

When I was there, I lived on garden place, which was within walking distance to campus, close to the bell tower. It may be worth it to drive around that area, and see if there are any for rent signs up. The place I lived in was 4 apartments, with 4 people in each apartment, but each room was rented separately. It was owned by a couple who lived next door.

Anyhow, it may be worth a shot.
