Used to be Thursday was the day to go to the Fair to check out of the Food...and it was so popular they started the Fair on Thursdays...as of last year. (instead of Friday)

The food vendors could probably survive by having a tour of their own .... no rides .... no cows .... just fried food and such !!

In the past it's been the day before the fair opened. We'd go after work, walk around and eat.

I pre-purchased also but was just a little annoyed with the 10% convenience fee they charged me. Isn't it to their benefit if I order online and print my own tickets?

Even still it was a bargain compared to last year when I bought the ride tickets at the fair itself.

I bought them at the fairgrounds because when I looked online and saw the convenience fee, it wasn't going to end up saving me much money. I'd recommend that for next year... it was about a 5 minute process when I went last Friday afternoon.

You can go to the fair for free until 2pm tomorrow. Also today, not sure until what time though.
