Are you planning to go to the Raleigh Wide Open downtown celebration? I have been to it in previous years and had a great time. Lots of great music all day on three different stages. Tons of festival and local food vendors and a beer and wine tent. The fireworks at the end of the event alone are worth the trip in my opinion. definitely. ive been waiting for city plaza to open for months, and i'm excited for the party event. i'm going to try to force some people to make that terrible 20 minute drive and go downtown with me.
::rolls eyes:: i also want to check out this state fair thang
I was going to go this morning, but I'm letting the rain scare me away. It looks like the weather should clear up around dinner time, so I might come out then!
im still going but i'm generally lazy on saturday mornings. if i see some guy running around taking pictures of everything that isn't me, i'll assume it's you, NRG...
we got there a little after 6 and i was thinking "where is everyone," but apparently it was just getting started. didn't get home till 2. i think that's a first for me in raleigh.
It was awesome! I am so glad I went and didn't let the rain keep me away. Had a great dinner at "The Big Easy" and really enjoyed the music and people watching. We will go back next year!
