Does anyone know how much it would cost to put an electrical outlet in the floor, in the center of the family room, above a 7ft crawl/walk space? Just trying to get an idea...has anyone done it? Also, any recommendations for electricians would be great.

Thanks,

D

Guess it depends on how far the wire has to be run from its source?

We do our own, but I am guessing $125 - $200 for a licensed electrician might be close?

For a licensed electrician with liability insurance, budget a service call/trip charge between $25 and $45 depending on where you live to cover travel time and vehicle expense.
Plan for a minimum 1.5 hours labor at a rate between $65 and $85 per hour and roughly $20 in materials.

Hope this helps in your budgeting for your project!

My electrician took $ 100. It took him 1 hour to finish the job.

An another guy came before him and he took 1 hr just to check the things n give me a quote of $ 600 for the same job. Be careful because sometimes people just try to make simple things look complicated and try to make money.
