I'm relocating due to work, to Morrisville, Nc. I'm not sure where to relocate to as I'm unfamiliar with the area. I've been looking at Cary, Durham, Raleigh...etc. I have a wife and 2 kids (4 and 9) and I'm looking for a family friendly area with some southern hospitality. I'm also seeking the convenience of being in close proximity (5-10 miles) to malls, grocery store, gyms, dr's...etc. We have decided to stay in an apartment for now so any recommendations would help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!!!
Most of the apts. in Morrisville are new so you should be fine.
Sorry but that is about all that I know of apts. I do know the area and part of Morrisville has a Cary address so that should make it a bit more confusing for you!
Maybe asking how old the complex is and giving us a street address would help?
JH35 - my husband, 2 year son and I will be relocating in December. We were just in Raleigh the last 7 days looking at Cary, Apex, Holly Springs and North Raleigh. Send me a DM with any questions you might have!
My wife and I relocated to Chapel Hill earlier this year from Maryland and we have family in Cary/Morrisville, so we might be able to help on specific questions.

You might consider renting a house in the Cary/Morrisville area for a year while you look around and acclimatize. There are houses for rent in new developments where you might ultimately decide to buy.
Have you researched the schools in North Raleigh?
Let me know what you find please.

Wake County schools generally have a good reputation. If you know approximately where in Raleigh you might live, you can contact the school board or individual schools for more information. The recent school board elections suggest that major changes and reorganization may be on the way with possibly more emphasis on neighborhood schools.
