I second B's Barbecue, but like the other poster said you have to get there early. I grew up on Parker's Barbecue and still love it, so it's another barbecue option. Cubbies has great burgers and hot dogs and a laid back atmosphere, so we like to hit it up before games.
Venter's Grill is another really good spot.
Finelli's and Starlight Cafe are good but are on the pricier side. It just depends on what you're looking for...
Heading up there tonight myself...Goooooo Pirates!!!
I believe Venter's Grill has been gone since Hurricane Floyd
did you read my post .... I said traveling crowd and Carter-Finley ..... It also wasn't just one year. Those things occurred over several years, until the game between State-ECU was stopped for quite a number of years. Maybe all those thugs have died away by now.
I did read your post... noted... I was also there in '87 and let me just say it was not just ECU fans that misbehaved, although there were plenty that were out of line. We have paid the price for that over the last 20 years.
I have also attended several ECU games in C-F since that time and have experienced some very rude NCSU fans. Also, it should be noted that C-F has had its share of issues that were not ECU related, such as pre-game shootings and NCSU fans/ students pissing in the stands.

You're right about the shooting (just one), but you'll never convince me wolf-pack fans would **** in the stands.
The "Coastal NC" forum would actually have been the one for this question--though it seems you've gotten plenty of answers here anyway.
I'm sure you know that restaurants in college towns on home game days are madhouses, though. I can't say I'd want to eat in a restaurant full of drunk college fans, right after a game!
The Dixie Queen in Winterville is a local seafood spot. It's just a few miles south of Greenville off highway11.
