Can anyone recommend a great home inspector?? We will need one for the beginning to middle of june and I think I should get it scheduled now. If you have one that you really liked, please let me know.

I adored our home inspector! He was extremely thorough, took pictures of everything, and was able to explain things in a way that was easy for me to understand. He was worth every penny. His name is Garry Walker & he works for a company called Homemaster. I don't think the moderator will allow me to post any additional info about him, but if anyone out there is interested, just send me a PM.

I too was very satisfied with our home inspector. He came through our realtor. He was extremely thorough. Spent over 2 hours at the new house incpecting everything. I will need to look up his info as I can't find it at the moment. Just let me know if you want it or if you get enough great leads from everyone else on here

our inspector was fantastic- extremely thorough. I can't emphasize that enough. We used Sure Sight Home Inspection.

We loved ours too. From US Inspect (Gary Toole i think was his name). He brought new meaning to "a fine tooth comb".

I thought that our inspector was very thorough. He took close to 3 hours to inspect the house on his own, and then took nearly another hour to lead me around the house and summarize everything. His name is Charles Porter and his office number is 919-787-7870

We loved our home inspector too! Took over 3 hours on a new home and we learned so much. Plus he made us aware of things that weren't really issues with the builder but that we should know (like if we don't do something with the door to the outside from the garage, the sill will rot in a few years type stuff).

He is a retired builder himself. His name is Claude Canipe and his biz is Canipe Builders (they have a site). Anyhow, he's based out of Clayton but has inspected homes for my neigbhors and my BIL in Apex. Not sure what his area is.
