I am interested in any information about the career of Developmental Therapists in NC, especially the Triangle area.

What are the qualifications (education, certification, etc)?
What type of places do they work?
Is there a need for more?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

If nobody responds, it's probably because nobody reading this knows. Did you try Google?

I have not found definitive info online. It is all pretty much a dead end, and no one in therapy offices will give me the time of day on the phone and they never answer emails. Even college professors and college career offices that I have contacted aren't much help.

So many children in this area see Developmental Therapists... I thought someone would know something.

All of my clients who recieve DT had their services cut in Sept. due to funding, so I'm guessing this field isn't booming right now.

Were those children receiving NC Early Intervention Services?

My son has a developmental therapist with Early Intervention (CDSA). I told her about your post. I don't know if she post on City Data though. Perhaps she'll send you a Direct Message. Good luck!

wednesdayo, actually they are adults with developmental disabilities, so maybe what's happening to them doesn't affect the area you are in. I hope so anyway! Good luck!
