Okay, I've heard Highpoint is the furniture capital of the world...but is it a good place to get some nice furniture at a good value? We are moving to Creedmoor from California at the end of July and will be selling off a lot of what we have so we do not have to move it and are are starting to scout out some furnture stores....any suggestions??

It's not cheap, but well priced, well made furniture.

I agree on it well made least for now as much of it is going to oversea production.

Thomasville furniture outlet always has a good memorial day weekend sale

Here some great websites listing various furniture stores of the area

So is your name BrentwoodBoy, because you are from Brentwood??? Heck if you are from Brentwood, you can buy your own furniture store, right??

I wish I could buy my own store!! Yeah, we are from Brentwood, California...but soon to be residents of Creedmoor, NC. Maybe I will change my name to CreedmoorBoy? Nope, does not sound the same - will have to come up with something else.....

YES!

The key points to your question: A good place to get quality furniture at a good value.

Sure, you can go to Target or Ikea and get something made out of wood pulp, bondo, and staples and pay $49.95. But, if you want something built to last, and pay probably 40% off retail price, then I'd say do it. In fact, my wife and I are planning a trip to Furnitureland South this weekend.

We have always bought our furniture from Rose Furniture in High Point. It was cheaper to buy from NC and ship then it was to buy it in a local store. I don't think that they do out of state purchases anymore but I think they still have their High Point Store open.

I second the Rose Furniture suggestion. We bought some furniture from them about a year and a half ago. Picked it out in a store in MA but bought it from Rose, and the money we saved from Rose was twice what it cost for them to ship the furniture from NC to MA.

I bought several pieces of furniture in High Point and saved a bundle. There is furniture to be found there in all price points. It isn't just for the rich and famous. FYI, Rose furniture is in serious financial trouble and at one point this year was going out of business so I would pass them by if I were you. You can read about the sad stroy here (http://www.furnituretoday.com/article/CA6445845.html?industryid=23192&industry=Retail - broken link). I found Furniture Land South to be a great place to buy furniture. Good Luck!

That is too bad that Rose is having trouble again. I had bought furniture from them last fall and was one of the lucky ones who received my delivery. My salesman from Rose moved to Black's furniture in High Point.
