I'm looking for a girls basketball team, league, camp or program for my 6yr old little girl. I recently moved here from Virginia, and there were lots of little pee-wee/t-ball teams for that age group there. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any programs like that here in the Raleigh/Durham area.

Does anyone know of any such programs in this area for little girls in that age group ???

Thanks ahead of time for sharing ...

--- Kimlyn

upward bound offers programs via churches - enter your zipcode in at Providing the best sports experience for every child to find a locale near you. Raleigh parks & rec offers basketball but it might be seasonal (winter) .

The YMCA bball program for that age group is great (for 6, they do co-ed, starts single sex in 2nd grade). However, it just ended for the season. They have a great summer sports camp, though.

Holt Sports in Northern Durham is fabulous, but their program runs in winter only.
