So I made it over to Caffe' Driade in Chapel Hill this past weekend. It met and exceeded my expectations. Great coffee and a spectacular atmosphere! I loved sitting out on their back patio overlooking the trees. What a great place to visit when you want an escape.

Props to CleverUserName for discussing this great cafe' on this forum. I had never heard of it until he mentioned it here on City-data. I'm glad I know about it now! Here are some pictures from my visit.

Awesome. I've never received internet props before. (And, perhaps, may never again.)

Glad you liked it. I really think that this is a terrific place - one of my favorite coffee shops anywhere - and the espresso and coffee is really outstanding. Espresso is often an afterthought at most places, but here, they know just how to hit the sweet spot and pull great shots everytime. And, like most great coffee shops, it's a little weird to boot.

Many thanks for posting this. I'll have to try it out. I've lived in Carrboro for more than two years and have never heard of it.

Will be impressed if they can beat 3 Cups as the best coffee in the area, though.
