I have a pretty good idea of the higher end priced areas in Cary but am having a harder time defining that in Apex. What subdivisions in Apex would you consider higher end or wealthy(for lack of a better word)?

Apex is probably the most solidly middle/upper-middle class town in Wake County; not really any low-income areas and not really any exclusive million+ developments either. There are some individual million+ homes like that on large pieces of land on the outskirts of town around Jenks Road and less developed parts of Olive Chapel rd, etc.

Some more "high end" (500k+) neighborhoods would be Montclair, and newer parts of Haddon Hall and Abbington. From what I understand, a more upscale (700k+) neighborhood that was just being built when we left Apex in 2007 called Le'Hermitage, actually went bankrupt and wasn't completed. I think there is a thread discussing it on here a while ago.

L'Hermitage on Olive Chapel Rd has been purchased by a local developer and has been renamed Olive Chapel Park. The homes seem to be priced in the mid 400s and up, townhomes in the 300s. Several homes are now underway. It looks like it will be very nice!

Abbington.
Bella Casa.

You can pop for $600,000+ in either one.

Ah well that's good news; sounds more on par with the "meat" of the Apex real estate market too.

My wife and I were actually watching TLC today and there was a show called "Moving Up" that was on featuring two couples who were "moving up" and buying bigger homes in Apex. One was a townhome that definitely looked like the ones in Scotts Mill and the other was about a 2500 sq ft house that looked like it was probably in Haddon Hall or Cameron Park/Dogwood Ridge.

Way too many to list.

Ten Ten and Graham Newton has an Apex Address and houses in the 500K+ range (for the cheapest houses).

There we get into the area that is governed by Cary and served by USPS out of Apex, so it has an Apex mailing address.

I thought about 27539, and wondered if the OP had that in mind?

Addresses out that way are so crazy. Not cary city limits though (at least the spot I am talking about is not). What kind of governing does Cary due to an area that is not City limits? Our old house had a Cary address, but was not Cary city limits and they did nothing for us, and that was my assumption there as well. My parents house is in the area.

I live in 27539. In Brookshire Manor and love it, except that we have to pay for garbage collection. We are considered the county--Apex address, close to Cary, but not served by either as far as garbage goes.
