I think we've decided to buy instead of rent when we move out to the area. Woodcroft is the perfect area between work and school on the bus, so we're looking closely there. I've got a list of HOAs in the area, but I don't know which are single family and which are town homes or condos (Except for Chimney Ridge which I've already looked at listings for). Here's the list, any help is greatly appreciated--feel free to offer recommendations if one area is better than another!

Cross Timbers
Heritage Woods
Homeplace I-IV
Legacy Place
Parsons Chase
Revere's Run
Seven Oaks
Woodwinds

I guess I should mention that I already know Fox Chase and Lochridge are, but they're off the 402/412 bus lines, so they're already out. Chimney Ridge is tempting, but almost seems like the prices are too good a deal unless I'm missing something.

Thanks to all who posted pictures back in '08-ish. What a gorgeous area! I was super excited when I found that post!

Heritage Woods, Woodwinds, Revere's Run, and Homeplace (at least some of them) are townhouses. I think Parson's Chase is also.

I believe that Cross Timbers has single family homes, but I'm not sure about the others.

We've lived in Woodcroft for a few years and love the area. If you have any other specific questions, I'd be happy to help!
