Valentine's Day Roses? (Cary) (to buy, prices, shop)

Last year I ordered flowers for my wife from ProFlowers who do a great job but not cheap around major holidays.

However, I remember that I saw in a grocery store or two surprisingly good handmade bouquets but don't remember where.

Can anyone share their best (and reasonably priced) places for roses on 2/14?

Try Fresh Market, I don't remember exactly what the prices were, but I was impressed with the selection that they had brought in especially for v-day.

Harris Teeter. Seriously. Roses are roses. They have nice bouquets for less than $20/doz. Don't pay florist prices.

Costco has absoultely beautiful roses and for the lowest price I've seen anywhere!

Fresh Market has beautiful, fresh roses that are much cheaper than at a florist shop.

Roses are roses........so not true! Once you get Ecuadorian roses you know the difference! However I will take ANY rose that comes my way

All of the grocery stores will have roses around valentine's day, and they are usually just as good as the ones from a florist. Last year my DH ordered from a florist and they were pretty only for a few days, even with changing the water and re-cutting the stems; when I inquired (complained) they told me that there is so much demand at Valentine's that it is hard to provide roses that aren't already "old". I buy flowers a lot, and my favorite places to buy (in order) are Fresh Market, Trader Joe's, then HT or Lowe's. Prices will be higher than usual but still less than a florist.

Saw an ad tonite for Whole Foods 2 dozen for $19.99. They also have cute little cakes for 2 (yum) and meals.
