Where are the car washes located where you use quarters and do it yourself? Not the drive-thru, gas station kind, but the kind where you use the brushes and hoses provided. I'm in the downtown area. Thanks!
I live in the downtown area and the one I have used is the American Pride at 2402 Wake Forest Road. It has the bays that you use quarters with as well as two touchless "drive thru" washes.
There is one on Fayetteville Rd, just north of Southpoint mall. Take the exit to Fayetteville from I-40 and head north, about a mile and a half. You'll see it on your left (right after a gas station), as soon as the road goes from two lanes to one.
There is one on Maynard and Kilmayne Drive in Cary. I use this one all the time. There is another one at that weird 5 point intersection where Western Bld, Jones Franklin, Buck Jones etc come together.
Thanks for all the locations. Miamiblue, I'll definitely be using that one. In fact, I'm a little ashamed to admit I must have passed it 50 times since I've moved here and just never noticed it!

That's American Pride's best location.
