I did not have a flat screen installed, I instead had them put in some in-wall speakers, but Audio Video Excellence out of Raleigh did a great job for a fair price (sorry, I can't remember exactly what they charged). The installers were awesome, real pros, and they even got me a good deal on the speakers to begin with. Audio Video Excellence :: Home

It is going to be expensive, I am sure they will markup the mount itself just like all other stores do. You can buy a mount and do it yourself easily or I am sure someone you know has done it. All you have to do is drill 4 holes into studs and screw the mount in.

If you still are going to have some else do it I would see if you can buy your own mount and just have them install it. If so I would buy from monoprice.com They have high quality mounts for about 1/2 the price of big box stores.

I need an electrician to put an outlet higher on the wall. Snaking the wire up would be a fire hazard.

On Demand Technology - (919) 697-0375

We've used them for other services like outdoor speaker wiring. Extremely satisfied with the results.

A 50" flat screen with electric outlet, HDMI cables and mounting bracket should cost ~$700 installed depending on the ease of the install. By my estimate that's around 50% labor and 50% parts, which is what I'd expect to pay for that kind of service.

Got one quote so far and it was $500. Is that the ballpark?

What all does that include? Is that just for mounting the tv or is it for running the electricty and cables (HDMI or regular cable outlet)
