Rapid City Hotels (price, safe, suites)

Hi all. I'll be traveling from Minneapolis to Casper Wy, on saturday and I will be making a pit stop in Rapid City saturday evening. Just looking for some help as to a hotel, closer to the freeway ( if possible ), that is decent and a fair price. Any recommendations? Thnx

You will see all kinds of hotels along I-90 in Rapid City.
Exit 61- LaQuinta, Marriott
Exit 59- Quality Inn, Ramada, Holiday Inn, Motel 6, AmericInn, Best Western, Country Inn and Suites, etc...
Exit 58- Red Roof Inn, Grandstay

There are also several nicer, but more expensive hotels downtown but I doubt you wanna stay in town if you're just passing through. Have a safe trip!

Exit 61 LaQuinta and Fairfield Inn have been advertising $40 or $44 a night all winter. It's right next to a McD's and Arby's, right alongside the Interstate. My parents stayed there 2 weeks before Christmas Thurs was $40 and Fri was $44 I believe. You gotta pay extra to enjoy the pool tho.
