Just wondering, so the poll is anonymous. Is real estate what you want to do or did you just kind of get thrown into it and now continue doing what you know.
I've always thought I would enjoy RE....one of my best friends assures me this is something I DON'T want to do - answering phone calls at weird hours, showing homes at night when I'd rather be camped out and relaxing....so somebody give me the up and down sides to RE. She assures me if I want to get licensed I have a job with her company, which is a national company. She only thinks I won't like it because of the nighttime stuff - so how do you put a lid on that?
Bear in mind that I lose patience with stupidity very quickly and although I can be tactful, if you push me over the edge I tend to lose that trait very rapidly and can get downright blunt (I don't mean to, but I just want to grab people and say, "don't you get it?")....By all the pseudo tests I've taken, I'm an extrovert - but there's no place that I'd rather be than at my own home. I'd say I'm an introvert who really is not too enamored of the human race and prefer the company of dogs, but few of them have the credit rating to buy a house so my clientele is down from the get-go.
I think maybe I'm just nosy and want to see other people's houses!
P. S. Just read "From Newbie to Seasoned Pro".....okay, maybe this isn't for me, I have no desire to devote 65 hours out of my week to ANYTHING. Maybe my RE friend knew what she was talking about after all.....

That was just directed at me...lol
I love my job, so that's why I devote that much time. You don't have to though. I'm sure you can do well with 40-50 hours. I'm sure you can do good with 30-40 hours. It all depends on how much you want.
I want to do everything I can in this field, like I said, I love my job.
Location: Moved to town. Miss 'my' woods and critters.

This profession fits me perfectly. I also wish that I had gotten into it when I was younger. Funny thing is, I was always considered an introvert. However this field has really brought out a side of me that I didn't know existed. I love the detail work esp. Must be because in my other life when I had a 'real job', I was an accountant
