Please don't write about yourself in the third person. I always have visions of Jimmy when agents do that.

I would also say write it like you are having a cup of coffee with a friend and talking about your job. So if you wouldn't say "hire me because I'm the most awesomist agent on the planet" don't write it. Only MikeJ can get away with saying that. The rest of we mere mortals need to steer clear of such platitudes to avoid making davebarnes vomitous.

I like the idea of telling the story of why you became an agent. I'd leave the part out about wanting to take their money.
