If you subscribe to Inman News, do you think you get regular value from it?

Do you subscribe directly, or is it a brokerage spiff buried in your fees?

I get it from our brokerage, and I really like it. There's at least a half-dozen articles a week I find interesting enough to read through, on a variety of topics.

If the brokerage didn't provide it, though, I don't think I'd be able to justify the cost of the Select membership.

Some MLS's have a subscription, I know a title company that provides the archived articles at no cost. You do have to sign up.

I have also heard that you can google the article and the whole version will appear, but I use the title company's website. Let me know if you want the url.

I joined Inman News as a freebie.
And, I am working them for a Select promo code. We'll see how that works out.

I used to read some of the articles when they were free. Now that you have to pay to read them, I don't miss them.

In December, all KW associates received a notice that we were getting a free Inman Select subscription, because KW felt that it was an important tool to stay current on local news and be able to provide informed client service. (That's what the email said. :-) I've enjoyed it. I haven't seen an increase in my fees.

Do you think it is valuable enough that you would you pay for it @ $199/year?

I do. I really enjoy some of the articles. They have some good tips and tech bits from time to time. For $199 it's worth it IMO.

I pay for a subscription. I can't say that it's made me a better agent, or that it's a "must read." Not sure how much longer I'll keep it.

The one thing that bugs me is if I log in at my desk and read an article, then try to log in and read something on my phone later, it tells me I'm logged in in too many places. I can understand them having to protect against one password getting shared throughout an entire brokerage, but come on.

I pay for it. Reading about issues in the industry is important, I think. I also like to stay on top of new ideas and tech and it is just an easy way to do that. I can't stand any of the FB groups on tech so I do this instead.
