Is it really that much better than the old one? I don't think the majority of displays are even capable of 4K. If you bought a TV over the last couple of years then probably but people are more likely looking at these on a computer or a phone and that makes it less likely that the display is 4K capable.

If you don't have a matterport I suppose it's worth the extra $600 for the newer technology.

I am looking at Matterport as an add-on, not for my primary presentation of photos.
Dunno if the 4K matters as much as the still photo.

But, I sure don't foresee dumping the DSLR for any of it.

I would rather spend around 2K for the old version off of eBay (there is one that bidding is only at $1k right now)
