Thanks to everyone (so far) that's taken the time to answer my question, and provided suggestions. You guys are awesome! I'm very pleased to have you all confirm what I've been thinking.
My team and I have actually started the process of shooting homes for free to get a feel for our abilities, start a portfolio, and develop protocols for long term efficiency.
I'm a left-brained leaning individual, so what I lack in creativity, I make up for in organization, rules, and repeatable results. We have two creatives on the team, and one charismatic social butterfly with great interpersonal skills.
Due to the differences in personalities and thought processes, we've had various meetings debating the importance of "artistic" photos (B roll for video), and the over-processing of images/video. Coming from a practical point of view, I just don't think this is rocket science. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but would it be safe to say that you would prefer speed, consistency, and a good product(s), over longer wait times for overly stylized "artistic" looking marketing materials?
The way I see it, at the end of the day you guys need marketing materials to create potential client engagement, and expedite the sale of the listing, no? This way you can make the sale, and move on to the next.
In regards to the "getting your hands dirty" comment, we learned after the first two homes that we needed to create our own cleanup kit (Windex, trash bags, broom, gloves, hand vac...), and pre-shoot checklist for common household issues that needed to be moved, closed, turned on/off, swept, or cleaned. We spent way too much time trying to fix these issues in post production, and even if we didn't create the mess, it will ruin our work product, and thereby reflect poorly on us.

Yes, we need fast, high-quality, realistic photos. We are selling the actual house. Not the filtered version of it.
I have to agree. If a client can't decide to view a listing in person with 24 photos or less, 100 is not likely to make a home more appealing in the MLS. I guess with the current trend, "more is better" with modern computers with almost endless storage it isn't the same problem as it was 20-30 years ago (or even farther back) when the amount of storage was limited and far more expensive than it is today.
