I appreciate all the responses on my other thread, I have another question, just because I just don't know any better.
The FSBO is offering 3% commission. Question. The agent brings a client to a FSBO and said clients have a home for sale in another part of the state, the FSBO is interested in a swap with those same clients with their home, does FSBO owe a commission to clients agent, to the other clients listing agent, both or none? Thanks again.
It all depends on what they have advertised or agreed on with the agent representing the buyer. But in short, yes they would still owe a commission if the buyer they brings buys the house.
Is the house in the local MLS with a discount broker ? If so their rules would require the commission paid.
So it really all depends on the agreements, the details and what's been advertised.
