my mom bought a house that had been listed with a realtor for over a year. the seller disclosure was filled out at the time the house was listed. so it was over a year old when we made the offer. our offer was accepted but before we closed on the house the roof blew off in a storm. the seller had their insurance company pay to replace the roof. we were told we were getting a new roof. now three months into the new home the roof is leaking. we called the roofer to see if under warranty. they came out and explained that they did not replace the entire roof and that there was existing damage to the roof that the insurance company would not replace. my question is shouldn't this have been disclosed to us?
