Do any exist?! The buyer's agent I worked with only works in one county. Do they all work in one county? Or are there any that work in several counties in the same area?
I work in 4 counties. It's not more than 10 miles to any of those counties since I'm near the edge. I don't work at the other end of the county I'm in since it's 90 miles away and not in my MLS.
It depends. Acreage specialists will often cross over many counties, but most agents limit their range.
Honestly, you don't want an agent that covers that much territory. There is no way to stay up on all the happenings in that many places. I cover two counties, but not all of each county. (The county line runs through my city)
I work one very large county primarily and when requested I will extend out to the surrounding counties. I am very comfortable with the surrounding counties but I specialize in one.
I work in metro Denver. Denver county, Arapahoe county, Jefferson county, Douglas and Adams county. I refer out Boulder and El Paso counties and the foothills parts of Jefferson county.
DMenscha, you probably cover a larger area than me. I just happen to live in El Dorado county, right next to Placer and Sacramento counties, and a bit further to Amador county. I try to keep it close to home, but when people move to the area and hire me, they often haven't yet chosen where exactly they will live.
Amador is the furthest for me and has been sales for friends. I won't take any more buyers there, too far!
