hello, we are looking at a corner house which is open on pne side so that if we make a pool or a patio everyone coming up the street can see us there. does toll brothers allow privacy fences? ( those white ones that are almost like a wall?)

Not sure what that means, are you talking like a specific community in a specific part of the country/state/city? Is this your "dream house"?

It can vary.

Of note, there are special rules about fencing on corner properties. Has to do with sight lines.

I'd refer to the HOA docs.

Each community within a city has their own ordinances. This isn't a builder specific question, this is a community specific question.

Yep.

Your agent needs to find this out for you.

If it's not a new-build and there are other houses in the development, do you see any of the white "wall" fences anywhere? That would help give you a preliminary clue if they might be allowed or not. As others wrote, check the covenants and restrictions. In my HOA they are not allowed, just black aluminum see-through fencing. Any kind of privacy desires are done with vegetation with approval by the HOA. The HOA won't approve anything if it doesn't fly with the city's ordinances about sightlines.

Yes.

Your agent also could ask the city codes office.

Wmsn4Life beat me to it. My answer is also yes. Getting a copy of the CCRs (Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions) is definitely important -- you'll be able to see what else, besides fencing, might be allowed or restricted.

Never, EVER make an offer on real estate without asking your Realtor to get a copy of the HOA documents, including CCRs, for you to read. If there is ANYTHING in those documents you don't understand, get a competent real estate attorney to discuss them with you.
Doing this can save a lot of grief later on!
If there is anything in those documents you feel you can not live with, RUN AWAY from that property!
