Stop lying, I checked on Google maps, there are no trailer parks there, no one is going to put a trailer park on the beach on land that's worth millions of dollars an acre.

First is price, likely that same lot in a more desirable area could cost 5 or 10 times as much.

Maybe there is talk of the trailer park being sold and torn down and developed, from what you describe sounds like that could be a likely scenario.

I'm looking at purchasing a house in a not so great part of town. The town is Villa Park which is as far east as one can get in the western suburbs and Dupage County without going into cook county which is corrupt, hih property taxes, etc. Great access to expressways, overall a good town but the area near the train station is a bunch of low rent apartments.

The city for years has been talking about tearing down and rezoning a lot of the apartments. The process is finally starting. I would buy a property there knowing that the area is going to be more desirable in the near future, and even presently its not dangerous, just not the nicest part of town.

Maybe these people have an inside scoop on what's going on with the trailer park so they get a huge discount on their property, in 2-3 years they'll be across from a luxury neighborhood and they got a steal on their lot
