My wife just invented a new 21st century amenity for custom homes. I was packing dirty dishes from the master bedroom back to the kitchen, and she observed that we need a dishwasher in that end of the house. A dishwasher in the master bathroom. Why not? The plumbing is already there, and it make more sense than a Roman tub.

Then a buddy chimed in with this. Dishwasher drawers are a real thing.

Or, just thinking outside the box, don't eat so much in the master bedroom. Presuming that you don't have a kitchen there, the dishes need to make their way back to the kitchen anyway. That, or use paper plates.

I LOVE this. As a single person, I do a lot of eating in my bedroom. A single drawer model is only $649.

Uhhh....

We have a no eating outside of the kitchen and dining room rule in my house. Unless there's entertaining and some finger foods are set up in the living room. But the bedroom? Icky.

Next someone will suggest a toilet built into a king size mattress.

Eat, in the Master Bedroom? LOL

I'm a single person who loves her solitude, and yet I have never once eaten in the Master Bedroom for any reason.

Me? I eat in the den in front of the TV, where single people are supposed to eat. (grin) Luckily I don't need a dishwasher in the den, because it is open to the kitchen and so I eat only about three steps from my dishwasher.

No one in my family eats in the bedrooms, but I'm in favor of laundry machines in the master closet, or a least close to the bedrooms.

When house shopping, I looked at a house with two dishwashers in the kitchen and I'd like that.

Would be cheaper to set up a cot in the kitchen
