That word describes nothing in my life. I will say this, the house is built in/on ledge and we'd always had water infiltration in the basement and (finally because we're selling) replaced the gutters which were directing water to the foundation. Problem solved until recent excessive rain. So partner is (finally) installing a sump pump - something he's done lots of times in his business. He's very good. Well the buyers came by and he's... "A talker". But the basement is dry just mid-install of sump pump. So that was a mess. I hesitated when I heard the buyers were coming by. Why? Still deciding? Apparently.
We have a signed contract (their second) and I'm letting my partner handle this. He's going to hold their feet to the fire.

Got the little document to sign, letting the posers/buyers of the hook. "Health reasons". My partner is taking this to his attorney. I'm ignoring it for now.

How frustrating. I don't think health reasons are an excuse people can use to get their earnest money back, unless it's spelled out in the contract.
