Villa in the sun? (1%, agents, prices, properties)

Hi all

I am seriously doing research about moving abroad - I have come across an interesting location
Northern Cyprus

The prices seem incredibly cheap - a three bedroom villa to be snapped up for £125,000?
Thoughts?

Okay. Earn whatever that £125,000 adds up to in real US money
...then decide if you want to use it to buy a house there.

You will most likely have a Turkish deed. There may be a Greek family that has claim to that land. Just something to be aware of.

I have been on estate agents websites that are situated in the TRNC and they are informative with the buying procedures etc.

Unwin Estates is one in particular where I have seen a couple of villas that are for nothing

Interesting and if anybody knows anymore information please fill me in?

Your posting in a forum that is almost entirely US oriented.

There are real estate companies (Estate Agents) in England that deal with properties all over the Mediterranean as vacation (holiday) homes for English people. Start your search there.

The above is British Pounds (£). US Dollar $1.31 to £1.00 so £125,000 is $163,750 US Dollars.

US Dollar 1.17 to Euro so 125,000 Euro is $146,250

Where in northern Cyprus? I would avoid Turkish-occupied Cyprus.

Then look into buying if you like it.
