It took 5 working days, but the RELO approved it! We've been renting since coming down to SWFL in November of 2004, not being able to afford...and finally, we can afford a home!

Let's hope with the short sales and the foreclosures that it gets appraised for what I'm buying it for

Well, it took 5 working days for approval- in case that's a long amount of time. We were told daily, ever since we countered their counter, that the counter was sitting on the supervisors desk and was just waiting for approval. This was told daily, and we thought each day we were to have an answer by the end of the day. We didn't.

Then we were told Friday it was approved, but didn't receive the signed contract until today (Tuesday).

As long as they don't delay closing, I am fine.

Congratulations, mrshvo! I've been following your long journey to home ownership and I'm glad it came out the way you wanted it to. Where is your new house? Are you going to post pictures for us to see?
