I opted to not move forward with even making an offer on the house. I think the reason for the creaky floors was due to a faulty install and I really don't want have someone come in and repair the floor.
One thing I was wondering about with these new "floating" floors. I wonder if there is a difference in how much they would flex and squeak as you walk on them when the house is empty... versus when the room is full of furniture - that would have to weigh it down so it moves less.
Wondering if anyone has notice such a change when installing these floors.
