A 6-foot-wide home billed as "possibly the skinniest house in London" is being listed for sale online with an asking price of $1.3 million.

Real estate agency Winkworth said the 1,034-square-foot home, which boasts five stories and a width of only 6 feet, is situated in the Shepherd's Bush area of west London and is comparable to the living quarters on a "luxury yacht."

6 feet, wide enough to social distance.
On a serious note, the price tag is probably because of its location, and it was inhabited by some sort of (not widely known) artist.

Isn't in Japan where instead renting a hotel room one can rent a bed in a space about as big a big tube/coroner's slab.

What's the fad-Tiny House Nation or something?

Yes, in Japan and other countries now. Called capsule hotels.

While on vacation in Japan, my son stayed in one. Said it was not bad, considering.

Of course, while in Italy he stayed at a place where the rooms were carved out of a cliff face

Five stories and only 6 feet wide. Most of the space would be taken up by staircases.

I've got a travel trailer that is about 6 feet wide and it is plenty comfortable. If you were clever with decorating, you could make a six foot wide house comfortable. If you can afford 1.3 million, you should be able to squeeze out the fee for a good decorator.

I do. The kitchen being in the basement is reminiscent of what are called trinities in downtown Philadelphia. My biggest issue would be the fact that I'd have to send guests up two (or three if we were in the dining room) flights to use the bathroom. And while I understand why they left the main bedroom on the top floor to overlook the bathtub down below (for the natural light from the window), that wouldn't work too well for me either. I could get over the 6-foot width. Ideally, if I was going to live in a "skinny" house, I'd like 10-15 feet.
