From the county fact sheet on procedures used to auction real estate to collect delinquent taxes
If the property is not redeemed, successful bidders will receive tax deeds for their properties as soon as possible after the end of the redemption period. The redemption is 12 months.
If the owner resurfaces during the 12 months and pays the taxes then the high bidder will get their bid funds back plus any penalties and 12% interest prorated each quarter.

I like to know the percent of home owners who are still occupying the property after the redemption period?
That would involve eviction and could get messy. Thanks.

I don’t know the percentage but it seems that a number of people try to stay in their houses regardless of the type of foreclosure. Heck, it’s a free place to live. Not only might an eviction be troublesome, but some people tend to steal anything that isn’t nailed down—and some items that are! Disgruntled former homeowners can do a lot of damage.

Here, tax sale properties usually have had the residents evicted before the sale.
