I wished I have a comprehensive list or ideas when I had mine built.

This is not about hardwood or granite or stain finish. Something more unique but still feasible to add from regular builders (non-custom homes) that are best done while being constructed than after.

Items I would have asked are:
- wall in pipes for TV
- wall in pipes for surround system
- wall in pipes for projector

Sealed, hardwood floors throughout so there's no "transition strips" (or whatever those damn things are called) from room to room.

FYI... Most homes do not use pipe in the walls, unless it's central vac. You just run the wire thru the wall to a box with a blank.

60 amp 240 v outlet for EV's, one inside one outside.
50 amp interlock breaker for generator

Raw or well water spigots for watering plants or irrigation
Reverse Osmosis system provisions

When building your home, consider adding energy-efficient appliances, ample storage, and smart home technology for convenience and eco-friendliness. Also, very important is the style of the new home that you can choose. https://www.valuecityfurniture.com/search/v/shop-all-furniture

I could not agree more!

They are a cheap looking trip point.

I'd want an attached garage. Ours is repurposed barn converted into a 1&1/2 car garage, there's enough room for our car & wood pellet storage, with an attached shop. It's a short walk from the main house. Fortunately, our snowplow guy shovels the path for us.
