I have these two cans of beans sitting in the cubboard and was wondering what do to with them (not sure why i bought them!). I was thinking of draining them and mixing them with rice for some sort of salad.
Make burritos and add them, put the beans in a big salad, red beans or black beans and rice, you can make your own refried beans with the can of red beans, Enchilada casserole.

Pork and tomato stew
roast some country style pork ribs, then add large can stewed tomatoes...your favorite brand and flavor
add sliced onion and any veggies you like, stew till pork is completely softened. season as you like from mild to spicy.
add drained and rinsed beans at end to warm through.
There are tons of recipes online for Cuban and Mexican dishes using black beans, simplest of which would be black beans and rice as a base for filling burritos, add whatever toppings you like. And this looks awfully good... http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes...y_black_beans/
Kidney beans you can add to stews and chilies, make bean salad with, and sprinkle over tossed green salads. All in all they are my least favorite bean.
When I made it, I subbed red onion for the green onion and left out the red bell pepper (just personal preference). It works well as a stand alone salad, as a salsa with tortilla chips, and as a salsa for pulled pork tacos.
The 3 bean salad upthread looks good, but does the sugar seem like a lot?
