That looks good. I've never had a really good apple brown betty recipe. Let us know how it turns out.

I decided not to make this and made apple pie instead. I had no energy last night or motivation to make the other dish. I will make it another time.

Reading the comments, you'd have to follow those instead of the recipe as written.

I would have thought the brown betty would be an easier recipe than the pie..?

I love apple desserts. It was great and so easy to prepare. Thanks for another great recipe. I plan to make this again and again.

That's a deep funk indeed! I never get so funky I can't make an apple pie -- although I might be funky enough to resort to a Pet-Ritz ready-made pie shell....

I'm so glad to see you made this recipe. For a very long time, I have been searching for an apple brown betty recipe which was really good. As expensive as apples are right now, I didn't want to try it and have the recipe be a bomb which can sometimes happen with recipes from a recipe site.

I love tried and true recipes which someone has actually cooked the product and says "it's great". This makes me want to get out the old mixing bowl and turn on the oven, even though it's supposed to be near 100 degrees today. I think I will wait a couple of days to see if it cools down a bit here and make it for this special holiday weekend.

Thanks to Lubby for posting the site and to sandrew for making it!
