And if there's one soup you don't need a food processor for, it's split pea.

I take it you're not a fan of whirled peas?

Sorry, couldn't resist...

You keed...but one of my favorite cream soups actually happens to be whirled peas.

It's frozen peas, an onion, a little curry powder, olive oil or butter, cooked until done in chicken stock or water, and then strained and whirled in the Cuisinart until smooth. Finish with cream and/or yogurt, and fresh mint. S&P, of course.

I have to say I'm guilty of using an immersion blender for split pea soup.

The immersion blender is a tool that I use far more often than the food processor. Not for pea soup, however. It does a great job, is fun to use, and a lot easier to clean.

yes for 1 cup of soup you do not need food processor. I had few issues when i first started using food processor but know since i brought Hamilton Beach food processor compact food processor and since then no issues. It is working quite good. Its eight-cup work bowl capacity is perfect for everyday use. Pick one according to the need like may be the need is related to capacity so the options will change accordingly.
See the features and analyze your requirements and pick any one.
