It's been a good month, there haven't been any men I needed to spit pits about. As such, however, I haven't gotten to my cherry supply as quickly as I should have. So are there any recipes to use them in before they go the white?

Mmmmm cherry jam. Bruised, older fruit makes the best jam.

I make cherry cakes, pies, cherry compote and cold cherry soups.Making jam or juice is great too.
The best is to remove pits and freeze the cherries for later use in cakes, pies, compote, cold cherry soups or cherry casserole.

My mother used to make her own cherry Schnapps.

My wife is intending to make a Black Forrest cake soon. We already have Kirschwasser in the pantry.
