Anyone have an EASY recipe for these? Also, am I supposed to eat them warm? How do I store them? If I'm giving them for gifts along w/ other items, do I need to put them in a separate container?

  • 2 tbsp. colored sprinkles
  1. Mix the eggs, flour, salt and baking powder together to form a dough.
  2. Add more flour if needed.
  3. Roll into loaves, then dice into small squares.
  4. Deep-fry in canola oil till golden brown.
  5. Heat honey for a few seconds.
  6. Add sprinkles to honey.
  7. Spoon honey mixture over top of deep-fried dough squares (struffoli).

The above recipe is similar to my Mother's recipe. She also added cinnamon to the honey, stacked the "balls" and poured the honey, then sprinkled with "sprinkles". You eat them at room temperature.
