4 teas bags any flavor, I used black tea.
2 quart clear pitcher, glass or plastic or one of those food service sized glass pickle jars if you have an empty one
water
Lemon Juice
Fill pitcher to almost full. Let sit in the sun for at least 2 hours.
Simple syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Heat water and usgar until sugar is dissolved on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Let cool to room temperature and refrigerate until needed.
Check the tea from time to time, thr longer you let it sit in the sun the darker and stronger it gets. I let mine stay in the sun 2 hours. When ready add 1/2 cup simple syrup and the juice of 2 fresh lemons, if you don't have fresh lemons then bottled lemon juice works fine. add ice, stir and refrigerate.
I made this today because I had a craving for Iced tea. Much cheaper than stre bought Iced Teas. My SIL does this with raspberry flavored tea bags too. If you like your tea unsweetend then skip the simple syrup part.

I've made sun tea for years in summer. But it has to be unsweet tea.
