The Media and Hollywood loves to promote the ideal man as a Macho Man. Most male sex symbols are Macho Men. Soft sensitive men are considered weak and unattractive. Most women I know want a relationship with a Macho and very Manly Man.
How about you? Would you like to have a relationship with a Macho Man?
Mr Rogers or Russell Crowe?
Neither. I want a partner, someone who is equally as strong and as sensitive as I am. It's perfectly fine for a guy to be in touch with his feelings, but it's nice for him to have a backbone too.
I think I need more choices here. I would like to suggest the He-man woman loving catagory. This man is strong and he knows who he is. He is very clear on what it takes to be a man. He may be sensitive and kind, but there is not a weak bone in his body. He covers the ground he walks on. He is someone I can lean on if the need should arise and he is not afraid to lean on me. He values me and appreciates my contribution. (if u know this guy pm me with his name &fon#)
I have no idea who those people are. (Thankfully! )
I can't stand hollywood - movies, tv - BS!!!
Macho? Blech. LOOOOOONG haired metal guys ROCK!!!!!!!!!
YEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!!!!!
You like Russell Crowe, and I would not be attracted to him at all - too arrogant (throwing telephones at hotel staff? No thanks!).
I don't think there's one answer.
I have women friends who like dark, hairy, muscle men while I'm at the total other end of the spectrum (I like lanky guys and I'm not atrracted to hairy at all).
You know the old saying, 'there's someone out there for everyone', so I think you just have to be yourself. If you're not a macho muscle man, don't try to be one, just be true to yourself and the right one will find you.
I tend to prefer the cerebral type so I can't imagine myself ever being attracted to some really macho chap. I tend to equate macho with not in touch with his feelings, sexist and selfish. "He-Men" have never held any attraction for me. I want a man to be kind,gentle.. thoughtful, intelligent and funny and able to string more than one sentence together. It he happens to be rugged as well, fine but not without the others... He should respect me as an equal and not think that cooking, cleaning etc... is "woman's work". Most of all I need him to be my best friend and have fun with him. I don't need him to be macho.
