I think the whole idea of Southern hospitality is just superficial. It is window dressing. It may make you think Southern women are different from Northern women, but they are basically the same.

Yeah its a superficial way of living but we are happy that way. Always giving more that we receive. Always helping your neighbor in case of an emergency. You need a mechanic 3/4 of the men in the village will come to help you out. It maybe a superficial way of living like not seeing poverty but the fact that in north america we live over a materialistic way of life does it make us happier?

I tried to think and determine if we were more traditional than other women. Based on the posters responses on CD I would say most Southern women are more traditional in some ways. For instance, I would never cheat; I would leave first. I don't know anyone who is bi or interested in an open marriage. I don't know anyone who wants to experiment with a swingers club. When I post on CD, I feel really naive sometimes. I am 25, so it is not like I am old...I just wasn't raised to be so liberal sexually. I don't care if others want to, as long as I am not their partner..lol.

No, I am afraid not. I live here and I know Southern women. There is, at best, a superficial difference. American women are American women.
