I'm taking a poll as to which men in the following two groups, you are more likely to go on a 2nd date with and potentially marry? Assuming they're all "good guys" or whatever and that is the only job they'll ever have.

Group 1: rich athletes, rich entertainers, MDs, CEOs, attorneys, and other successful professionals.

Group 2: Brick layers, cement workers, pizza deliverers, grocery baggers, fast food employees? (You could even thrown mechanics and police officers in this category since someone else thought they were in the same ballpark.)

I guess #1, it would depend on the person's personality and our chemistry together. I could care less if he was an attorney making $300K annually if he was a dillweed.

I tended to lean more toward the blue collar guys as long as they were happy and secure in their jobs.

I wouldn't throw law enforcement in the same category as fast food workers. I'd say most in law enforcement are there for the length of their career while most in fast food are there temporarily and use that position as a stepping stone to something else. I also know some very successful masons and electricians who I wouldn't lump with pizza delivery folks either.

This poll is ridiculous. I would rather marry a man than an occupation. What if the rich lawyer is a jerk and the poor brick mason is a loving, decent man? Of course, I would choose the brick mason. I don't judge a guy based on money or occupation. There is no correct answer on your poll.

LOL @ cement workers being lumped with pizza delivery guys. There's a massive strike in Chicago right now among cement workers, because they are tired of making only $40 an hour. That's hardly minimum wage.

Yeah, I can't vote in this. How about a cop or fireman being lumped in with a grocery bagger? Last I checked those were professions (although they're so high stress, I don't think they get paid enough).

I can't vote on this either. As another poster said, you don't marry an occupation.

Default this original post doesn't make room

for say relatively unsuccessful professionals like me who have an advanced degree but who make diddly compared to what sociopaths make with the same degree

you've got white collar vs blue collar but no "grey collar"

i mean i'm loving and decent, but i suppose a sociopath can put food on the table better than i can
