Where did you say in your post you were "involved in bizarre activities after midnight" - did you miss your remedial reading comprehension class again this week? When a guy asks me for my number and I don't want to give it to him (because I don't want him calling me) I ask for his number and I tell him I will call him and then I do not call. This avoids the uncomfortable situation where I would have to say, "no you cannot have my number because I do not want you to call me."

Still dishonest. Just give an email address, if you don't want him to call....
that's easier to block anyway and you have more control over that than incoming phone calls.
