Are you sure about that? "I didn't respond" implies you knew about the call/text but just didn't respond, much different than something like, I didn't get the call because my phone was turned off...

The least you could have done was text her and say I'm not feeling very good, I'll be in touch with you as soon as I get better. Perhaps she really did mean to call back but forgot. At least she answered the phone!
I hope this is not the special Washington date we are all waiting for....in the meantime, you could call her back and explain you were very unwell and see what kind of reaction you get from her.
As another poster stated she may have been unwell herself. Maybe she thought you were the ultimate game player and were playing with her.
It may not be a tit-for-tat thing at all but an "I'm shocked you would have the nerve to call me now" reaction. She may have been dumbstruck that you were calling, she picked up the phone but a split second later realized, "Oh Jayzus H., I do NOT want to talk to this disrespectful person," and mumbled the I-can't-talk-right-now thing as an excuse to just get you off the phone without a scene.

YOU have an excuse for not responding, but her reason won't cut it with you?
And sorry, you didn't respond for the whole weekend - really how sick do you have to be not to shoot a text "Sick - resting - I'll call you later". Hell, I had a 104 degree temp and responded to calls.
You expect everyone to behave perfectly to your rules - but you're exempt from them all.
