I am a 22 year old recent grad completely confused about where to live. I've had my heart set on living in a city w/o much city experience. For ex. NYC was way too large, fast-praced and brutal for me. I think it would have swallowed me alive. Are there any other cities out there for single, starting out women (uh, seeking entry level employment w/ bachelors degree) moving ALL BY HERSELF. Any advice? Any suggestions? I'm desperately seeking nightlife, entertainment, meeting 20something people with my same interests in being young & living it up, and most importantly SINGLE MEN!!!! who are great catches. Well I guess the most importantly should be cost of living/career opportunities/expenses and crime............

ANTI:

kids, family life, old people, babies etc.

Any help would be greatly apprciated!!!!!

It may not have been intentional, but this part cracked me up.

Well, not knowing any sort of information about your field of interest, housing budget, or weather preferences, you've pretty much got the country as your oyster. Really, thus far it's some pretty loose criteria. Austin's a very young city with good nightlife, a relatively low cost of living and also not one that is nearly as overwhelming as New York. It's more laid back. Dating-wise, it always comes out near top on those random lists of "Best Places for Singles" but I'm a bit skeptical of those sorts of lists. Atlanta and Denver are two other possibilities.
