Wasn't trying to turn it into a race thread, just the poster I was replying to made it sound like if you drive a lifted vehicle, you must be a tiny man down below, and I thought that was just total ignorance.
Do you automatically think he might be a douchebag or poser?
Does it attract you to him?
Or does it it not change your perception?
Doesn't change my perception - if he's got a douchebag personality, then yeah - I'll think he's a douchebag. But not because he's got an expensive sports car.
Doesn't automatically attract me to him, I think there are much more important factors.
Now...if he flashes that sports car and uses it as a means to attract women - it'd probably make me wonder if he's severely lacking in other areas and using the car to make up for it.
When I see older guys driving exotic cars I think they have probably reached a point in their lives where they want to reward themselves and they finally have the means to do so. It's a car he's probably been dreaming of owning since he reached puberty. Good for him.
I don't get why some people think only young handsome men should drive a nice car? Makes no sense to me. I don't associate cars with character values or personality.
The biggest douche I know drives a Ford Taurus.

It makes me want to drive it...lol. I love cars especially vintage models that have been restored...the faster the better. Give me a Chevelle, and let me go. Also, I have a nice car, and I am a woman, so I am not overcompensating for anything. Maybe the guy just likes cars...geez, let everyone do what ever they want and quit trying to read things into it.
