Anyone who needs 2 weeks of bed rest for only 15 stitches shouldn't be calling anyone else "wimps"...

Sifu, the stitches and their size differ between India and the West.

Anything over 7 is considered pretty serious. I was a wild boy in my youth and that hasn't destroyed me today.

So I hope the oldies and goldies stop looking at the kids through their tainted glasses. If they are so good mannered, why are they sending their kids to politics and war????

Shouldn't they be advocating peace? hehe

can you imagine being married to one of these girls and have her be the mother of your children? oyyyyy vayyyyyy
Things have changed drastically today there is no doubt about it.

When we were in school the teacher could take us to the hall with a paddle. Today I don't think parents are even allowed to touch their children in discipline.

It is the sign of the times too. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

Interesting - wasn't aware of that. Thank you.

I suppose you weren't wild enough...

Why? Because politics is power and war is profit. It's always been that way.

Creme, I'm surprised that you're so shocked at this; this goes on all the time, across the US, wherever teens congregate. Yes, it might be the parents' fault, but you can't disregard the changing social climate - as was mentioned, reality shows that glorify stupidity and nastiness; lack of social skills due to living on the Net; and last but not least the combat-zone living conditions that are Philly.

Have you ever listened to unedited lyrics from hard-core rap? They're enough to make ME want to go out and trash someone / someplace, so I'm not surprised that impressionable teens would be affected the same way.

Desensitization - it's the act of becoming immune to the feelings and rights of others. A pandemic catastrophe-in-the-making whose only hope of a cure lies in actions more brutal than what was shown on the video, but which will never be implemented because of the bleeding-hearts in this fair land.

As for the weaves, I see worse than that on Saturday nights in the girls' dressing room.
People assume girls fighting, then they come from the ghetto/pj's. Not the case. In my city we have the mean girls. Some are inner city and some are suburb girls. Some hate to think suburban girls would behave in such a manner. I'm not excusing this behavior, but don't assume these girls are from the inner city. I don't know.

As far as rap is concern. Yes, blame the entertainment industry for the ails of these bad azz kids.

A fight broke out in Philly between TEEN GIRLS??????

Teen fight breaks out in Center City as cameras roll | Video | 6abc.com

These young girls are animals, and what's worse, they're going to be parents some day? Unbelievable, actually pulling out each other's hair? What kind of parents did they have?
They were pulling out hair EXTENSIONS, not hair. Two different things.

I'm not really surprised, after seeing videos from other years of flash mobs descending on South St. in the nice weather. Doesn't mean I condone it, though. Does make you wonder about the parenting (or lack of) in their families.

Ummm...I live in suburbia and was jumped by 5 girls back in the early 90s. I was actually in the process of taking my girlfriend to the local precinct to file a report against them when they blocked my car in. I tried to diffuse the situation, but they wanted none of that. I went easy on them until one punched me in the face. That made me angry. So I beat the crap out of them. 2 patrol cars (4 cops) responded and gave me props for my work.
