Great thread! Just because I'm a young black dude doesn't mean that I can't be interested in stuff like politics, economics, and world history. While I like hip-hop music, I am also really heavy into indie and alternative/soft rock. Also, don't assume that b/c I'm black, 6ft tall, and have large hands and feet, that I'm hung like a horse...
A while ago, I was in the office at work and a new employee introduced herself to me. So after the pleasantries, she asked me if I work in the warehouse.
I guess the goatee and the pony tail labels me a warehouse worker.
Fact is, I'm a senior guy and do a lot of the training of new hires.
Oh well, what can you do.
Disclaimer..... warehouse workers need not be offended...I know you guys work hard too.
hmmm..let me see. I'm hispanic but people are surprise when they hear that because they think I'm italian. I don't speak spanish either, only English. Not all hispanics ONLY speak spanish. I do eat lots and lots of mexican food, though and cook it alot but I eat Indian,Italian, American and other foods. I have a good job and have my college degree so I don't live off welfare or in the projects. I am AMERICAN so I was born in this country like yourself so I'm not illegal. Oh, I love to learn about other cultures and love to travel so I know more then just my culture. Can't think of anything else.
Okay, I will define the stereotype of the Russian woman:
1)I love making my own money. I'm as far from a gold-digger as you can get and no, I didn't marry my husband for a green card. I already had one when I met him.
2) I don't ever wear fur.
3)Although I enjoy cooking for my husband, I could never be a content full-time homemaker.
4)I'm not blond, don't smoke and age fabulously.
